Show Us the Jobs Tour Photo Highlights
On March 24, 51 people from across the nation began an historic, eight-day journey across America's heartland. As part of the Show Us the Jobs tour, they shared their experiences of job loss with members of communities from Iowa to Pennsylvania, and saw first-hand the devasation caused by the 2.9 million jobs lost since President George W. Bush took office.

The experience was at times heartwarming, heartwrenching and often, disheartening. But by the time they reached Washington, D.C., on March 31, the 51 participants found the events a life-changing call to action.

As summed up by Maricella, a bus participant from Little Rock, Ark.:

"There is no happiness to be found today for the working people of America. We the middle class are slowly being eroded through a constant attack by those who would reject the American way of life in favor of the almighty dollar.

"We have remained dormant and let the politicians of this country promise the moon and deliver on nothing. But no more. We will use our voices together in chorus to call for change. If any legislator, from city onto the national level, feels that they can work against the people, lie to us and then abandon us, they will learn how wrong they are come November."

Here are highlights from their journey.
